Michael Hemmeke, the founder, grew up at West Olive Nursery — at that time the largest retail nursery east of the Mississippi. He developed his love for and knowledge of trees while helping run the family business, and he continues that legacy today by maintaining the high operational and customer service standards learned from his dad, who was a true legend in the field.
